Having been asked by Councillor Nick O’Hare to be his Deputy Mayor for 2022/23 was an honor for my wife and I. Only having been recently elected as a councillor to the London Borough of Bexley earlier that week, I was not expecting this post at all.
However on the xxx May 2022, Bal and I both took office as Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of the Borough. In a council chamber full to capacity, we both took part in the ceremony along with Nick and Natalie making this terms new Mayoral Team.
Rags Sandhu was born and raised in Dartford, he attended local infant, primary and secondary schools. From there he went onto the North Kent College of Technology from where he came away with a BTEC National Diploma in Business and Finance.
Rags is happily married with two adult children of which one is studying at a London University.
