The borough of Bexley hosted several hundred street parties to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee during the first weekend of July 2023. These parties were hosted by our residents right across the borough, residents we offered the opportunity to close their street for a certain date/time allowing them to host their own street party. For obvious reasons not all roads were allowed to be closed, however, those who were permitted – had a jolly good time!
As Deputy Mayor of the borough, Cllr. Sandhu visited as may of these parties as was physically possible. Accompanied by the borough’s Deputy Lieutenant, Dave Easton the paid met server hundred possibly even over a thousand of Bexley’s residents.
